We are living in a golden age of technology and convenience. Statistically, more of us have more money and more opportunity than ever before. Despite that opportunity, more of us are also unhealthier than ever before.
The world is gripped in a major obesity crisis, mental health conditions are on the rise and according to the World Health Organization, more than 300 million people worldwide are now living with depression. These are all dynamic problems that need dynamic solutions if we as a society want to improve the overall status of our health.
More important still, it’s worth pointing out that no two people are alike. That means what works for some people to achieve better health may not work for everyone. But there are common points that everybody should bear in mind when trying to improve their health.

Building a “Stick To It Attitude”
Today I’d like to talk about tough situations, struggles, failures, and the importance of following through in a manner that promotes growth in children. When things get tough for our kids the two most common ways parents handle these situations is to either swoop in and be the hero or to leave them to “figure” it out. This could mean doing their homework for them, not pushing them to get back up on that horse, or allowing them to quit a sport/activity that they love simply because they have hit a roadblock. The issue is that in most cases both of these choices rob our kids of the chance to learn, overcome, and become a stronger individual. So how can we “parent” our way through a tough situation to help our kids become the best versions of themselves?
